Anonymous Visitor Marketing

Anonymous visitor marketing, also called anonymous user marketing, is just changing the website’s material to fit the visitor’s tastes and make the information more useful. Each user has something called “metadata” or “supplemental data” that is like a human’s sense nerves and tells you how to respond to the person who is coming up behind you.

Metadata, or supplementary data, includes information like the location, IP address, browser language (like English, Chinese, German, etc.), and domain extension (like edu, gov, mil, etc.). It also includes information about the speed of the internet connection, the operating system, the search term or sentence, the referring URL, and the screen resolution.

Graphical location gives an idea of where the user is coming from. With this information, the server can look for and show material that is relevant to the people in that area. Accurate information can be shown, like the weather, the temperature, what’s going on in the area, and the time.

The IP address, also called an Internet protocol address, lets you know what Internet service or company a person is connected to. If the website belongs to an Internet provider, it shows the speed of the link. If it belongs to a specific company, it shows the company’s name and logo.

Different languages can be used to set up a web page. By looking at the language of the browser, the user can be given a web page that is easy for him to understand and makes him feel like the site is focused on his native language, which will make him feel more at ease.

Different name extensions are used by different organizations and in different fields. A website that ends in.gov is run by the government, while a website that ends in.edu is run by a school organization. So, the page’s information can change based on what organization the visitor is a part of.

Depending on how fast the Internet link is, the size of any multimedia downloads can also be controlled. There will be different versions of a download with different resolutions. If the speed is slow, the visitor’s temporary Internet files will be filled with multimedia of the lowest quality. This won’t stop the machine from running normally.

Different operating systems have different needs and different ways of working. Some websites offer software and updates that can be downloaded, but they may not work with all running systems. These limits can be found without having to stop the person.

Search engine optimization (SEO) methods can be used to make a website’s content more relevant by using a search keyword or sentence. This is done by linking data to a specific keyword. When the data is linked to the keyword, it is instantly displayed, making the visitor feel like his question was answered.

A referring URL helps the sponsor compare data from the current page to data from the page before it. This makes the websites compete with each other even more. The current website will try to show that it is better than the old one.

If a visitor is using a mobile phone or other hand-held device to browse the Internet, the website’s material is cut down to fit the device’s screen size. If the amount of data that can be seen on a regular computer is shown on a handheld device, the data will overlap, making it impossible to read.
